Ravenswood Family Dentistry (RFD) only serves adults that are registered patients of Ravenswood Family Health Center. However, RFD will provide care to any child that resides in San Meto County.

RFHC is an FQHC, a Federally Qualified Health Center that operates based on the guidelines of HRSAs Bureau of Primary Health Care which administers 330 funding to support health care centers. And, as an FQHC, must be open to all residents, regardless of insurance status or ability to pay.

Health care is not free. The Membership Services team of Community Health Advocates assists uninsured patients to determine:

1) Eligibility for public health coverage.Their bi-lingual Community Health Advocates (Certified Application Assistants) walk families through the eligibility process using an accelerated online application system to determine if the family is eligible for Medicaid (Medi-Cal), children are eligible for Healthy Families, Healthy Kids, and if uninsured adults qualify for Access and Care for Everyone (ACE) or Medicaid Coverage Expansion (MCE) both County of San Mateo programs administered by the Health Plan of San Mateo.

2) If not eligible, then they determine the appropriate Sliding Fee for patient visits.The sliding fee scale is discounted based on patient family size and income in accordance with federal poverty guidelines.

Fees range from $20 a visit to full cost.
