I am checking into dental implants. I had a baby tooth most of my life and the permanent tooth never came down. It caused a huge cyst that I had to have surgically removed causing the removal of 3 of my front teeth. I have a flipper that I have a very hard time wearing. My dentist thinks I may be allergic. I am disabled and on a limited income so I was hoping if I reached out I may be able to afford it through a dental school. I just want to be able to eat again.
I have called billing 17 times in the last 8 business days & left 10 messages about a refund for dentures that were cancelled due to misrepresentation of my procedure.NO ONE has returned my calls! I said from day one I MUST be sedated to remove 11 teeth. All went well till week #6 when I was told they would have to check w/my heart doctor first. Why wasn't this done after the first appointment? Regardless, my doctor said it would be no problem! (I had 2 surgeries & a sedated procedure last year & 2 the previous year. I then rec'd a call that they would sedate me & the surgeon would call the next day. He did & said they could NOT sedate me because of my medical record & mentioned COPD. I asked him where he got that info? He said med record. This is an OBVIOUS mistake by him because I have NEVER had COPD. I reviewed my med records on line & there is NO mention of COPD. Looks like I will have to start by checking w/ the Ohio Att'y Generals Office of Consumer Affairs to see what my options may be. :( WHO is the incompetent person in billing that is supposed the check & reply to messages? With any luck that person will be seeking employment elsewhere....we can only hope! The teeth would have come out...the pain has started....
