Frequently Asked Questions
Needs a molar extraction because it is loose. Would like to know the fee for this
Going to St James Dental Clinic has been a wonderful experience. Dr Lee takes great care of the teeth, and the staff is very pleasant and friendly. I recommend this dental clinic.
Stay away of this dental clinic. It's a "free" Med-Cal paid dental clinic, but nevertheless they try to sell you expensive work that is not covered by Med-Cal. Doctors are incompetent and the interns are not supervised. Even a simple job as a reattachment of a porcelain veneer has to be redone over and over and over, again.. The phone's appointments operators are obnoxious with a boss' like attitude. Maybe they work for free and they are on an ego trip. The appointment's group supervisor has a troops' sergeant attitude : told me to step back a foot of the mark on the floor before I could talk to her until she says that I can approach to explain my problem. She would not let me see a dentist to explain my problem because "according to her I didn't have an infection due to the lack of pain". Does she believe that she is a DDS? Can a real DDS look into this please so she won't repeat stupid diagnosis like this. My problem began on Saturday. Saturday and Sunday the clinics are closed of course and Monday was closed due to training. Tuesday I was rejected by the bossy, pretending to be a doctor, lady, because (according to her) emergency walk ins have the be early in the morning. She order me to come back the next day at 8 am. I wonder if the lady knows the meaning of the word emergency! Wednesday i was finally helped by a doctor who spent five 5 minutes in attaching the veneer that fell two hours later. (coincidence? will let a DDS that works for Medicare, Medicaid, or Med-Cal, decide) I notified Gardner Health so things may improve (if a get a response), but meanwhile if anybody knows of a competent and friendly free dental clinic please post it here so everybody can get competent dental help without being humiliated and harassed.
